Casa Vicens is the first masterpiece of Antoni Gaudí and sowed the seeds of later works.
Built between 1883 and 1885 as a summer house for the Vicens family, here he showcased his unparalleled talent. Declared Unesco World Heritage in 2005

Before your visit, we will welcome you and explain some background information and possible routes to tour Casa Vicens.

You can wander around the house at your own pace, as long as you like to observe all the details of this Modernism masterpiece. Casa Vicens has been designed as a permanent museum space where the exhibitions and all contents help you to enlarge the knowledge of Antoni Gaudí and his significance. Because visiting the house not only gives visitors a look at the beginnings of his career but also helps them understand his later work.

On each storey, floor staff are available to help visitors and answer any questions they may have.

Casa Vicens Guided Tour

Don’t miss a thing at this gem of Modernisme with the Casa Vicens guided tour.

Led by one of our in-house experts, you will discover and learn more about the innovative language Gaudí used in the structural, decorative and symbolic elements in each space. As it is a personalised tour, in small groups, you will learn more about Antoni Gaudí and his significance. Because visiting the house not only gives visitors a look at the beginnings of his career but also helps them understand his later work.

You can wander around the house at yout own pace as long as you like to admire every nook and cranny of this first masterpiece of the Modernism movement.

An exclusive sensory experience in which you can discover the essence of Casa Vicens, in all its details. Awaken your senses with a journey of sights and scents through the rooms of the first house designed by Gaudí. A tour created by the perfumer and artist Ernest Ventós/Nasevo to experience this masterpiece authentically as it takes us back to the beginning of Modernisme.
